The Most Inappropriately Placed Ad of 2008

As time-honoured tradition dictates, when the year draws to an end, men make lists. Top tens. Top one hundreds. Best of’s. Worst 30s celebrity TV ad in the strawberry and envy-scented all-natural hair conditioner (strictly on ice) category…

So here’s what I consider to be the worst-placed ad of 2008, which I have carefully selected from my painstaking research of one ad about three minutes ago.

It’s a very recognisable poster found at a variety of London Underground stations over the last few months. Only this one appeared at Stockwell, during the de Menezes inquiry. The tagline is: “There’s nothing wrong with a little shooting as long as the right people get shot.”
