D & AD Workshops… Apply now!

If you’re creatively inclined and love generating campaign ideas, writing copy and creating layouts, then a D&AD advertising workshop may be just the ticket!

These workshops were created to help potential adlanders get a firmer footing in their field of interest, whilst giving them great practical creative advice and tips on how to stand out from the crowd.

So what exactly are they? Well, the workshops are a part-time programme held as weekly evening meetings over a two month period. It consists of lots of envy-inducing agency visits in which the lucky workshoppers benefit from:-

– Access to briefs that develop idea generation, strategy and a broad understanding of a range of media

– The chance to present ideas to a creative team at a leading advertising agency or design company.

– Feedback and advice on how to strengthen creative and communication skills, from the experts!

– Developing a body of work that will strongly enhance any portfolio and have a much deeper understanding of how the industry works.

And that’s not all. Another of the many great things about these workshops is that anyone can apply, regardless of background or previous experience. To bag one of the highly sought places applicants need to respond to a competition brief, set by a senior creative who also judges the entries. Places are allocated to those who show the most potential in generating interesting ideas and executions, as well as an understanding of the specific craft.

To apply visit the following address, fill out the application form and return it to D&AD:

You’ll have to get your creative skates on though as the deadline is Friday 23rd July (this is just for the application form – the brief is issued shortly afterwards).

Good luck!!
